Example of Adsense
Thinking of placing ads on your blog? It is one of the ways you could earn through blogging. There are some considerations when it comes to putting them up. The layout of your blog will definitely be affected.
There are so-called hotspots for ads on your blog. They are usually the top and left regions of your blog. Ever noticed that a lot of those who place ads on their sites and blogs usually have it that way. It has something to do with the way the eyes travel on the page. And of course, it would be nice to have ads at the top part of the page because it is what would be seen as soon as the page is loaded.
There are also those who place ads within the blog post. Some might find it distracting though. Here is what some people do: They only show the excerpt or the first two paragraphs of the entry in their blog’s multi-entry view then show an ad at the bottom of it. When it comes to the single entry view, they still maintain the as then they put an indicator which goes: “The blog entry is continued below the ad.”
You could also customize the CSS so that your ads would blend in your blog. Sometimes colors could affect the overall look of your blog so choose the colors for your ads very well too, this is especially if your ads are not the graphical ones. As for ads with graphics, you can’t help but have some ads that will stick out too much because of the difference in colors.
Hopefully these tips will help you as you try to earn your way through blogging.
