The level of classifying probloggers from bloggers on the rise may sometimes be hard to distinguish. Practically anyone who has the knack for writing or blogging for that matter can assume the role of a certified problogger who has made such a practice part of their everyday lives.

The only difference though may be in the area of quality and what problogging is all about such as focusing on the most sougt after topics and producing the necessary information and content to adhere towards such demands. Payment for such expertise are secondary for them since it is more about getting the job done as often as possible.

But taking it in this aspect brings out the social talents that bloggers have. Blog entries are actually conversation igniters wherein a topic is being opened for discussion through the primary insights of a blogger. Such can be compared to actual life conversations where people who are not interested would simply ignore the topic at hand.

On the other hand, people who always make it a point to stress their own opinion and views will most likely be the starting point for a good exchange of ideas and opinion.

Information consistency and relevance is what is expected from probloggers. Jumbling words to form paragraphs and blog entries is not their immediate tag. Probloggers are expected to deliver authentic and reliable content and this is something that the experts have been doing. Half-baked bloggers are existent in the world and most of them fail to flourish. This is because people have become wiser in easily spotting spoiled content over relevant ones.

• Misspelled words. When drafting your blog entries, make sure that you have your spellchecker on. If not, do a spell check right after you write your draft. Sometimes you might be typing too quickly and you end up with misspelled words.
• Run-on sentences. Imagine this: you have a very long sentence and the clauses are only separated by punctuation marks. Sometimes it would even look like one entire paragraph. When you have such a sentence, it might be better to re-write it. If you think that the length of your sentence is still reasonable, try reading it aloud. It would help you see if there is a need for pauses and stops.

  That looks funny, doesn’t it? The door slammed shut on returning home? The problem with dangling modifiers is that they do not have subjects of their own.

When you blog, you communicate with others. (It’s not just about monetizing your blog, folks! It’s about sharing your views!) If people do not understand you because of these little things you forget to check, it might be difficult for you to come across as credible. You don’t really have to be a word geek to communicate clearly. You just have to be careful.

Making a career out of blogging has become so popular these days. It?s a fact that more people, especially the younger generation and those who are into the information technology, have developed an interest in blogging. ?Blogging? is all about writing your thoughts, creating your sites and sharing your knowledge and ideas with other people online.

But how does one become an effective blogger should he or she decide to make this hobby into serious work? Professional bloggers say it?s best to be your natural self and to be more organized in your thoughts as this is very important in making write-ups, more so if you?re blogging for a certain company or network. Don?t be too serious with the topics you write about as this might bore your readers and don?t try to be too funny as well.

Sustaining the volume of your readers should be of utmost importance to a professional blogger. You can do this by regularly updating your blogs, adding more posts of varied interesting topics, making your pages more attractive but eye-friendly and responding to queries as immediate as possible, no matter how minor they are. You wouldn?t want your regular readers to go look for other blogs, would you?

One more thing a blogger should always keep in mind is to be well-researched on his or her subjects. The more sources you have for your articles, the better and you will even be greatly appreciated if you provide the right information to your readers.

In writing any article or blog post, content online should always be a major consideration. For professional bloggers, the more researched you are about a topic, the more ideas you can write about it. The more sources you have, the better. And remember, be organized with your thoughts.

There?s no need to provide a long introduction about a certain subject. Just be direct to the point and give the necessary details that you think will help your readers. You may start from a general statement but be sure to go the specifics in the succeeding sentences.

Each paragraph should express just one thought. No long and too-detailed explanations in a sentence or paragraph, please. Keep in mind that many people who go online don?t want to take too long in reading a certain article as they usually browse through several webpages at one time.

Use simple english as much as possible. For those blogging for companies or networks, avoid using slang, yet keep your tone engaging. Your aim is to make your readers easily understand the information you would like to convey to them without giving them much difficulty.

Don?t leave your post hanging in the end. Instead, close it with a conclusion or recommendation. By all means, you can recommend other sites where they can get additional information on that subject you wrote. And always, keep them coming back to your post by putting some invitations on other interesting topics that you authored or just about to write.

By this time, almost everyone has probably heard of RSS and RSS aggregators. Maybe everyone has even used them. In any case, sometimes it is still good to give people the option to get email notifications that you have a special feature on your blog.

There are people whose aggregators are already full of so many blog entries, especially when they were quite excited in tagging all those blogs one time. It could be quite overwhelming for the person reading them. (Maybe this is also why some are only subscribed to headlines.) In any case, you could point to an option wherein people could get the special featured entries or articles via email.

Email seems to have become an integral part of people who are online most of the time. There are those who have habits of checking them at certain times of the day. The nice thing about having those special features in their inbox is that they could still read what you wrote. And who knows? They might even directly interact with you via email.

As you put that option on your blog, you could choose to have only the excerpt of your special feature so that they could have something to look forward to when they visit your blog. Aside from this use of excerpts, you should also keep in mind that you must not abuse this option so that people won’t be turned off from reading your blog. Let’s face it, sometimes people don’t always enjoy what you write but if they know that you have something they’d be able to use or maybe inspire them, they’d go back to your blog regularly. I personally don’t read Joel Spolsky’s (alpha geek) blog all the time because he sometimes seems a bit too technical but I get emails about his special featured entries which inspire me or challenge me to think things through.

Mobile blogging – an essential component in your blogging life.While you can always carry your laptop around for mobile blog posts, sometimes there may come a time when all you have is your iPhone, and the situation will call for a quick way to blog. It may be because of a breaking news that’s worth blogging or simply an error in a previous post that got passed your proofreading and must be corrected as soon as possible lest the Internet sees it first and correct you in droves. To know for certain if your blog is affected check if your site has weird additions to the permalink and if you have a backdoor created by a mysterious new Administrator.

To clean up your blog, in case you have been hacked, export ALL your content in XML format and totally reset your entire Wordpress installation. Import back your XML backup after you’ve cleaned everything out. This should bring back all your content including images and post comments.

To avert such problems again, make sure you always check on Wordpress updates and update to newer versions when they ask you to!

One of the things that some bloggers do to fight spam is simply turn of their comments section. Now, I don’t know about you, but turning off the comment section is just not an option I will ever consider, after all how will (real) readers be able to provide their (sometimes) valuable feedback easily (no one really likes to email and anyway posting your email can lead to spam in your email!).

Another thing that bloggers do is to moderate their comments. Now this is what we do here but this is not a good option for everyone, especially those who do not the time to browse through comments, which of course contains spam that Akismet failed to catch, and approve or disapprove them.

So what this leaves us with is re-CAPTCHA. re-CAPTCHA is a an anti-spam technology that requires people to type in the letters/words/numbers they see on the screen before the comment can be posted. This ensures that the comment isn’t automated and the the commenter is a real live person. It may be seen by some as cumbersome but it really is a good compromise between having to wait for comment approval and no sort of moderation at all. The only catch though is that people who link drop and provide no real valuable comments can not be filtered through re-CAPTCHA. However, at least that leaves you with a lot less spam to deal with.
