Going the pro-blogger way?

professional

There are many things you ought to consider before going into pro-blogging. Some people who go into pro-blogging already have their own blogs and their regular readers. Sometimes, what they do is they mainly add Google AdSense, Text Link Ads and other such related programs in order to generate some cash.

There are different people who have already done this. One of the really famous ones is Darren Rowse. His Problogger blog has a lot of thoughts and insights about it. He also has tips. I enjoy reading his blog because of that. People who also are into problogging share their insights and experiences through their comments on his blog entries.

If you are thinking of pro-blogging, you might want to consider these:
Building rapport with your readers.
Readers come and go. Some of them keep on reading your blog though you don’t update so often. You will know that through their comments.
Actively promote your blog.
Shameless plugging might be too much… Just a little bit of emailing here and there maybe. And commenting on blogs and other such sites.
Build a good reputation.
Well, unless you go by the maxim any publicity is still publicity. Or maybe you are one who wants to try to be so bad at something that you’d be so good at being bad at it? ;)

Next time, I will be writing about these things in detail. Sometimes you really have to think through the details and issues of these different aspects of pro-blogging. Hopefully, we’d all learn a lot from each other along the way. The Blogosphere is a very dynamic place to be on cyberspace!
