Exercise, the problogger and health

sneakersThere are different kinds of probloggers. There are those who work from home and blog all day. There are those of you who probably go to some office or something similar so you could focus on writing. And there are those who have day-jobs and set aside time for blogging. If you are one of those bloggers who tend to have a sedentary lifestyle, it’s time to get up and stretch a little!

A sedentary lifestyle is easy to fall into… You might have been sedentary all your life or maybe it’s just that your work has so much become a controlling thing in your life that you don’t have the ability to make sure you are the one who’s in charge of things like your schedule. Tough, isn’t it? And having terrible eating habits doesn’t help either. Maybe you’re having too much coffee in order to boost up your system when you’ve got too many things to write already.

There are different exercises you could do even in the comforts of your home. For starters, do some stretching. You could do that on your chair. Just raise your arms over your head, do several neckrolls, and lift your shoulders every so often.

Another thing you could do is get your water bottle from the cupboard when thirsty. It would make you stand and walk around, even if briefly. This would help a bit in making sure you get to move around.

Walk a little. If you are living near a park, try having lunch there. Bring your packed lunch or maybe a sandwich and a fruit plus your water bottle. It would be easier for you to make sure that you get some exercise if you have a scheduled trip to the park. Make sure your lunch is something healthy so it won’t be useless ;)

These are just several simple tips to jumpstart your healthier lifestyle. Blogging professionally can be fun and it gives you more room for improvement, physically aside from mentally, as writing keeps you sharp.
